So, you use email a lot too do you? I bet you are using Outlook also. I was once an avid Outlook fan until my mailbox grew into a whopper and it began to take ages to open and use it.
I started using Outlook Web Access (OWA) when my Outlook crashed and was taking ages to get itself back together.. and never looked back.
OWA used to be the half-baked version of Outlook, now I consider it the tasty chocolate cake with sprinkles version.
Aside from being able to access it anywhere and quickly, OWA has the same familiar interface as Outlook with some handy treats to make my life easier.
- EASY ACCESS TO APPS. The Web interface for Outlook Web Access provides quick and easy access to all Microsoft 365 Apps and creating new documents so I don’t have to dig for them.
- COPY AND PASTING. Ever need to copy and paste an email address into another app or email? OWA has the ability to copy and paste the email when you click on an email address
- SEARCH. I sometimes get mixed results when searching in Outlook and it would often chug, with OWA it is accurate and super fast. If you need to find an email, calendar or person quickly, OWA has the win.
- MOVING EMAILS. I organize my emails and move them to sub folders. Dragging and dropping emails in Outlook is painful with lots of folders and if it froze midway, the email would go somewhere unintended and push my Outlook anger button. OWA has the ability to search for a folder, which makes the move 100% easier and faster.
- LIVE CALENDARS. When I receive an email invite to a meeting a tentative appointment is displayed in my calendar making it easier to plan events.
When I add a new meeting in my calendar, it loads my live calendar so I can easily see what else I have on around that time and if I am available
- PREDICTIVE TEXT
When you are typing something common in an email, like “to whom it may c” OWA gives the option to push tab to predict and complete the message for you.
These are just a few of the really gool little time saving treats that OWA has and I am constantly discovering more as new stuff comes out.
I recommend giving it a spin, possibly next time Outlook is doing its “Not Responding” thing and pushing your Outlook anger buttons.
