The NBN is a hot topic locally and nationally. With ballooning costs and delivery times, it has become a political football.
To me it sorta feels like another government half arsed roll out.
My take is that they should have gone the original path and deployed fibre to the premises, it may have taken longer and be more expensive, but it is the best long term solution.
The NBN as it stands is set to replace the aged copper and isdn networks. When this happens you won’t be able to use adsl or your normal analogue lines, which could affect your existing internet, phone and faxing systems. This will force you to change your technology in the not too distant future.
If you want to check what the NBN has in-store for your business, use this link and punch in your address.
The NBN is not yet a business grade service, meaning that there is no service level guarantees for performance or resolution times.
This puts business in an interesting bind, to NBN or not to NBN.
If you would like to know about the NBN or have any questions, please reach out to me.
Happy to help
